Kenneth Wicker has over 30 year's experience in Customer Service and Sales. Starting in 2010 he began a handyman service that later became known as "New Beginnings Handyman and Painting, LLC" in 2014. He advertised locally in Hernando County to grow a steady flow of seasonal and year-round customers; many of those are still customers. In 2019 he rebranded the business from "New Beginnings Handyman and Painting" to "MrFiksit 'Any Home Repairs/Services only $149"

The rebrand was based on a conversation from a customer, while buying a Christmas card in 2018, I rebranded the business to "MrFiksit 'Any Home Repairs/Services only $149" The reasoning for this is, his customer explained to him "Ken, one of the worst mistakes I ever made was selling my house to move into an Assisted Living Facility." She went on to say she missed her home. His heart went out for her. He asked why she decided to sell her home and she replied, "My husband, who passed away 5 years ago, used to take care of everything! I became insecure and afraid of things breaking and with great uncertainty the costs that may arise". At that point I decided, based on her testimony, to reinvent my business to help customers, who are right now in the same position, pondering with great uncertainty what will break and how will I afford to fix it. Hence "MrFiksit ~ Any Home Repair for $149". Not only their losses, but other things like climbing ladders to change air filters and lights or getting down on their knees to repair things such as faucets and toilets, or cleaning out gutters and re-sealing windows to ensure no leaking.

We offer a quarterly service, if interested. This service includes such tasks as check all plumbing for leaks, change air filters, change smoke detector batteries, change light bulbs. We also offer service to help arrange furniture, hang mirrors and pictures.
